Exhibit Your Work

Calling all artists for Saturday 29th May to  Bank Holiday Monday 31st May 2027

If you are a painter, sculptor, jeweller, or work in wood, glass or ceramics, this is a great opportunity to show and sell your work. 25% commission is payable on all sales.  Stands are available for the 3 days from £50. Please ensure that you do not overflow or put too many pictures on your area – it does not look attractive and art needs space for potential buyers to appreciate it. Also your fellow artists may feel that it does not look pretty!  A good example is the picture above. The cost is £20 per print browser or a rotating card stand on wheels.  Browsers will be under cover and placed outside in a marquee.  You must bring your own browser or wheelie card stand. The committee cannot guarantee where your browser or card stand will go. Please ensure all art, prints, cards and pieces are priced with Wendover Arts Festival labels which are on the website as a download as are the instructions.  ALL CARDS MUST BE THE SAME PRICE. The pictures which will be hung must all be wired or available to be hung off hooks which we provide.

Sticky labels on pottery or any sales items are not allowed – all products must have a white tag (please see sample on the website – initials are enough and price) or a sales label as the sales desk does not have time to remove sticky labels from products.  We cannot afford to make mistakes when balancing at the end of each day when we have to match tags/labels with money.

All spare artwork must be in one bag only and with a luggage label clearly marked with the artists name on the handle so we can put all spare work in alphabetical order.

Happy to have artists set up on Thursday afternoon / evening please make sure you make that clear if you wish to do that from 3pm to 8pm.  Please park on the road on Thursday and Friday as the school carpark is not available.

The school car park is not available on set up Friday daytime due to the school being open but hopefully will be available after 6pm once the preview night starts.

If you want to use clip on lights in your area please bring your own extension lead and tape to hold the lead down on the floor (trip hazard).

Artists allotted areas will change every year where applicable.

If you have booked a table please bring your own table cloth.

Some of the stands will be metal grids instead of boards -depending on the vicinity.  No guarantee of which area you will be allocated.

Should you receive a commission from a visitor after the festival please remember to send us your 25% commision to me.

Food both hot and cold is available to purchase to all artists on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We also have a food truck coming on the Friday night preview night where 3 available hot dishes are available at £12.50 each.

All greeting cards must be the same price by artist.

Can you help us attract more visitors?

To attract more visitors and potential buyers we’d like you to help us. We’ll supply you with posters which are on the website to download, leaflets and emailable invites to give to your family, friends and work colleagues.

Set up day Friday 28th May 2027 from 10am.  If you want to set up on Thursday between 3pm -8pm do let me know and book your time.  It gets very crowded on set up day so please bear with the traffic flow as we cannot use the school carpark until after school on the Friday.

All exhibits in the Church must be complete by 5pm on the Friday at the very latest.  You do not need to bring hooks but your work must be wired at the back.  Help should be on hand to unload your vehicle and then please as a courtesy to other artists – move your car to the road or the church carpark at the back of the church. You do not have to attend the festival during the three days as the committee will restock your area with your spare work which you need to bring in one bag clearly labelled with your name.

We will hold a Free Private View (by invitation only) in the evening on Friday 28th May 2027 from 6-9.30pm.  A Bar is available serving wine, beer and soft drinks.  We also have a food truck serving hot food.

Each exhibitor in the Church will receive invitations to distribute by email to send to their friends and family.

    • Artists are welcome to attend the event but it is not essential at all.  All art must be priced and have wires from the back in order to hang.  Hooks are provided.
    • Display posters either A4 or A3 size are also available

It is always a good idea to bring spare artwork to replace sold pieces.  Spare work must be labelled and easily accessible – with a luggage label in one bag.

PLEASE NOTE:
All exhibition space is subject to availability. Where possible the organisers will allocate space as requested but this cannot be guaranteed.

Browser stand spaces and wheelie card stand spaces are available at £20 each. Bring you own browser or card stand. They will be put outside in a marquee. All must be labelled with Wendover Arts Festival labels and priced.  All cards must be at the same price.

COMMISSIONS – Any commissions or similar arrangements contracted at the Festival, or that come about as a result of contacts or introductions made at the Festival are subject to the conditions and fees of the Festival i.e. 25% of the gross revenue generated from such commissions or arrangements.

CLOSE OF EXHIBITION

The exhibition closes at 5pm on the Bank Holiday Monday and you may take down and remove all your exhibits at that time. We would prefer if you do not start taking down before that time.
